The Market is Improving

Continued Improvement in Housing
The housing market continues to show signs of strengthening.  The Housing and Urban Development organizations' February report states, “The supply of homes in the market continued to decline last month.  At the current rate, it would take 6.1 months to turn over the supply of existing homes currently on the market  – and just 5.6 months to turn over the stock of new homes for sale – the lowest months’ supply since 2006.”
RIS Media is reporting that the number of times a property is shown is up. Showings in January 2012 were higher than any January for the past 5 years.
Currently in McCracken County, there are 352 active listings.  The most active price range of homes sold last month were between $125,000 and $149,900.  There are currently 79 homes for sale under $100,000.
If you are thinking about buying, I can help you quickly narrow your search to the homes that REALLY meet your needs and if you are thinking about selling, I will perform a Comparative Market Analysis free of charge, no commitment, no hassle.  Give me a call today !
